I chose the book titled Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J. K. Rowling because I read the first book in the series and the book was really well written. This 435 paged book is really interesting and I liked the series of Harry Potter and the last book might just make you upset that the series is over.
Harry Potter is a young teenager in his third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. His friends and teachers are all worried that Sirius Black (Harry’s Godfather) is going to come and finish his work of killing the Potters. Since the start of the year soul-less beings called dementors have been placed at all of the entrances to the school grounds as an extra protection against a mass murderer, Sirius Black. Sirius Black is, as most people believe, a mass murderer. For the past thirteen years Sirius has been a prisoner of the wizard prison of Azkaban, and is the first person to escape from the heavily guarded prison. Sirius escaped in hopes of someone he tried to kill 13 years ago by the name of Peter Pettigrew. Peter’s discuise has suited him well for thirteen years, but Sirius finds out his secret and finds a way into the school grounds. No one is safe, not even Harry Potter himself.
Harry Potter and Sirius Black are trying to clear Sirius’s name by bringing a man that is believed to be dead to Hogwarts castle. On the way a werewolf transforms and the man runs off. After the werewolf leaves, Harry, Sirius and Hermione almost get killed. Harry, Sirius and their friends will never be safe again.
I would recommend this book to people that love reading, and enjoy science fiction books. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is a great book by the author J. K. Rowling. I would rate this book with 5 stars.
